12th ROUND OF RETHYMNO CITY

A: 10,000 meters road race

   B: 1,000-meter road race for elementary school students

   C: 1000 meter road race for the disabled

   D: Road race 5,000 meters

   E: 5000-meter high school road race

DATE: SUNDAY 15 MAY 2022

PLACE: RETHYMNO

START (at 10:00 a.m ) AND END PLACE: Rethymnon Municipal Garden

RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE:

            Participation in the 10km race is allowed to those who were born in the year 2004 and older, ie over 18 years old.

          Participants in the 5km Road race must be born in the year 2004 and older, ie over 18 years old.

The 1000m road race for primary school students is addressed to primary school students (students born from 2010 to 2012).

The 1000m Disabled Road Race

Younger children can also participate accompanied by their parents. 

 PARTICIPATION FEE:

• 7 euros for the 10,000 meters race
• 7 euros for the 5,000 meters race, and free for the elementary, high school, and disabled students and/or Special Olympics.

Part of the earnings will be donated to the Association of Parents, Guardians, and Friends of People with Autism in Rethymnon for social purposes.

That activity is to promote physical exercise and to campaign good health, promoting sports tourism through developing jogging routes around the city.
Publicizing the beauty of Rethymno's historic center and villages nearby is the perfect place for exploring Rethymno through jogging.
Municipality of Rethymno council is making a number of cycling and walking improvements to the city for locals as well for visitors.
